The Medusa Room · Salvatore’s, downtown San Diego

Downtown’safter-hours room.

When the dining room quiets, the back room turns on. Low light, a full Type-47 bar, and a sound system built for the second half of the night — steps from the Gaslamp Quarter and the San Diego Convention Center.

What is it

A back room hidden behind dinner.

The Medusa Room is the lounge behind Salvatore’s dining room — a darker, more intimate space we open up after the kitchen slows. Walk past the host stand and the room opens up: low pendants, leopard banquettes, a backlit marble bar, and a Greek mural on the back wall.

It’s the upscale answer to the usual downtown San Diego late-night scene — and the place to land when dinner runs long or the night needs one more chapter.

The Nights

Thursday through Saturday the dining room quiets and the back room turns up. We hold the lounge open later on event nights — call ahead for special bookings.

02

The Sound

DJ-driven evenings — house, downtempo, and the occasional live set. A Saturday harpist plays the early hours on a harp once owned by Harpo Marx; after 10 PM the room shifts.
